My First (and Last) Luxe Box Review – March 2016

Let’s start off simple, what it Luxe Box? Luxe box is a Canadian beauty subscription box that goes out every 3 months. It costs $26 per box or $96 for a year subscription with free shipping.

Now that we are aware I need to say I am relieved that I talked myself out of the year subscription. For anyone that hasn’t seen my Topbox February Review I suggest reading that before continuing this one.

The reason I suggest that is because Topbox is also a Canadian subscription and before subscribing to Luxe I did not relive that the two businesses merged but they promised to run as seperate companies with different products. Well that all is a hoax because 3 of the items were the same as topbox… and Luxe is $14 MORE. Which lead me to cancel my subscription right away becuase it really was just a wate of money.

Aside from that, here are the items I did recieve.

I also recieved a nail polish which I gave away because I didn’t like the formula and below is the swatch of the ‘purple’ eyeliner which is way more black than any purple. Apparently a coupon counts as an item to send? I saw others receiving bb creams, lipsticks and benefit POREfessional but I couldn’t find anyone else who had a coupon in their bag so don’t know what that is about. Either way I gave away the razor, coupon, nail polish and eyeliner. This really way a waste of my money which, again, is why I cancelled right away. I would not reccomend this subscription,  if you want a canadian subscription try out Topbox … or just stick to the american ones.

  1. How disappointing. I once subscribed to Beauty Army but they sent the smallest samples in the world, including foil-samples. Not to mention things you can buy yourself at the drugstore. That’s why I really liked ipsy and Birchbox. It’s good to look into what items they send before you subscribe to anything.

      1. Yes, I’m with you on that one. We need a decent amount to know if we’re really gonna love the product and/or to know if it will work on our skin (no bad reactions, etc). I had to cancel mine temporarily, I hope I can get them again in the future. 🙂

  2. I would recommend the WalMart Beauty Box!! For $5 a quarter you get a box every season (4 boxes). I have gotten (on average) 2-3 full size items, 1-2 sample size items and small one time samples and coupons. WELL worth the $5!
