Rapunzel. Rapunzel let down your hair. Then teach me how to braid it and toss flowers in there…
As a mother to a little girl who loves having long hair I feel there is a need for me to learn one thing; Hairstyling.
Hairstyling is a major beauty area I have barely any knowledge on. Most of my life I have had short-medium hair and the few times I did grow it out I had absolutely no clue what to do with it and no patience for it. It was straight, curly, up, down or a frizzy mess.
Up until a few months back it didn’t bother me that I didn’t know much on styles. What changed my mind? Celestia loves having long hair and does not want it cut and I love that! However I do not love how it is always falling in her beauitufl face. So off to Google, Pinterest and Youtube I went searching high and low for easy toddler hairstyles and videos on how to do them.
Of course I knew the regulars but I have learned there are so many easy ones that look much nicer than those! My daughter, Celestia, is already a bit of a girly girl so I am lucky enough that she sits and lets me practice these on her and hopefully as she grows I will be able to teach her how to do them.
Here are a few I have practiced the past few months.
The Commons: up, down with matching headband, braided pigtails with headband and crimped pigtails with bow.
More Intricate: Sock bun
criss cross ponies to a braid and Fishtail braid with a bow.
Her hair is pinstraight and she doesn’t like heating tools so I resorted to 7 braids took them out after 6 hairs to get a crimped look for christmas
and lastly there is the Semi french braid into a side pony! She calls this one a merbraid haha
I know most of them aren’t very intricate but I have to say I am one proud mama for being able to learn all of these in a short amount of time for her and am even more excited to keep learning more!
Are there any tutorials you reccomend for me to try? Ley me know in the comments below!
