Some are repeats from last month I know but they are clearly my essentials! I will sort it by categories to make it easier to read! 🙂
Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser- I just recently purchased this to give it a try and it is quite lovely. The smell is abosulteyl delicious and it cleans my face without making it feel stripped and dry afterwards. It does reallya good job of removing excess makeup as well.
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation- Another recent purchase to go along with the cleanser. It is an oil free, lightweight moisturizer. Online it claims to ‘gently exfoliate and fade dark spots’ but I do not see how it would exfoliate at all, it does however seem to have an effect on a fair spots.I have combination skin (Dry but gets excessively oily during the day) and it seems to do a good job of controlling and not adding oil while keeping my dry spots under control.
Hourglass Mineral Primer- I have to admit I do not like the smell of this primer but it is amazing for my oily skin. It has no added fragrances, oil or gluten and is 100% waterproof! Ingredients in it help absorb oils from you skin throughout the day. This is a sample I recieved which has lasted me a good amount of time. I will be sad when it runs out because it has quite the procetag on it and I’m not sure I will buy it but will definitely grab the samples whenever available!
100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream- received this from Birchbox last mont, this sample lasts forever since you only need a little bit. It is amazing and any mom out there needs it. The product contains caffeine and green tea which both help reduce fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. On top of that all, it is all natural!
Vasanti Liquid Cover-up – my shade is V2. This is my forever and always coverup, I literally stopped trying everyone elses liquids after finding this one. It is medium buildable coverage and works amazingly as a concealer as well.
Urban Decays Naked Flushed in Native – This contains a medium bronzer pale shimmer highlighter and bright pink blush. It goes on really well and great for travel! I am convinced I need these in all the other colours as well.
Sephora Color Wonderland* Neural & Vived Eyeshadow Palette- I’m only showing you the neutral side because I’m a neutral junkie, this is seriously the perfect palette. It isn’t as pigmented as some others out there but with the right primer and awhite shadow base they turn out beautifully! I have a feeling this will be my obsession for a few months. It also contains a black eyeliner that is perfect for my waterline.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel- I have naturally thick eyebrows so I don’t colour them but they need a bit of taming, this gel is great to hold them in place!
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara- The brush on this grabs and seperates your lashes perfectly, I do two coats and they do not clump at all. It does exactly what it claims; curls and lifts! I use this mascara then top the tips of my lashes off with the next product I’m mentioning.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara- Benefit is great or thickening and curling your lashes without clumping but not adding length so that is where this comes in! I find this to be too clumpy for my everyday mascara so I use this on the tips of my lashes after my main mascara to add some great length !
Kat Von D’s Tattoo Eyeliner- I used to use Vasanti’s liquid liner mostly but I received a sample of this at the beginning of October and it is a game changer. I love the felt marker-like tip it makes application so smooth and winged liner has never been so easy! I don’t think I will ever stray too far from this, already bought 2 full sized ones to stock up with.
This month I was a bit everywhere with my lipsticks, I tried out a few different looks and played with darker lipsticks. My two most used ones this month were…
Sephora Jem & the Holograms Liquid Lipticks in Like a Dream, To the Rescue, and She’s got the Power- This set has it all from dusty pinks, burgandy and a deep purple. I had lots of fun playing around with them and creating different looks. Read more about them by clicking here !
