I love Value sets, partially because I am frugal but lets face it, they are a good deal! One of the latest value sets I bought was Sephora’s Collection Escape to Rio Getaway Essentials. This set Contains:
-1 Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in 12 Cappuccino
-1 Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in 23 Summer Cruise
-1 Microsmooth Baked Bronzer Duo in 01 Honey Heat
-1 Color Hit Nail Polish in 37 Hot & Spicy
-1 Color Hit Nail Polish 28 Dinner for 2
-1 Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist
Let’s start with the Contour Eye Pencils, they are seriously amazing! They are the best coloured eyeliners I have ever used. They stay on your waterline perfectly and they are true to their colour. The Pencil is soft enough to glide but firm enough not to have breakage. I haven’t had any experience with gooping in the corner of my eyes. These liners literally do not budge or smudge, I tried just wiping it off my hand right after taking the above photo and it refused to go anywhere. I am obsessed and want them in every colour, Already ordered 3 more! The only thing I would change is a way to sharpen it, currently I put it in the freezer until it is firm then press it into a point with my fingers.
Now for the Microsmooth Baked Bronzer Duo. I was excited to try this bronzer, but I have to say it is nothing amazing. With that being said it is a good product, it has a great colour that looks natural on, easy to blend depending on your type of foundation. I find it doesn’t stay on very long unless you use a setting spray. I am unsure if I would buy it on its own.
The Color Hit Nail Polishes were nice. The colours are true and they are not watery like some I have tried in the past. They go on nicely with no clumping and dried quick, was not sticky at all. I put them on my toes and they lasted about 2 weeks ! I would get the again for sure.
Sephora’s Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist was great, The picture above shows the left leg with non and the right leg with one coat. It is the first tanning spray I have used and I have nothing bad to say. The smell was a pleasant vanilla, it went on streak free and dried quickly. As long as you follow the directions there shouldn’t be a problem. It leaves such a natural, non orange glow but if you do want to go darker just put a second coat on after it dries, it is quite build able. I do have to say if you are looking for a dark dark tan, this is not for you. This is more of a sun-kissed glow. I would definitely buy it again!
All in all, this value set was well worth it, and if you want to try it out it is still on sale for $29 USD or $36 CAD. A value worth of $63 USD or $78 CAD. You can buy it at the link below !
